Can I fix this or need a respray?
Hi folks,
So i'm pretty nuts about detailing my E90. I take it down with clay and try and waste away weekends making it look pretty. The one thing that drives me crazy is in the pictures below. I drove it through the end of a late winter/early spring and the sand/salt looks like it sandblasted the lower parts of the front bumper. I have touch up pain that i've used for some of the chips that innevitably occur on the hood. I was just wondering is there anything I can do to fix the damage below on my own or via a detailer that won't require a respray? My thoughts are I have all winter to work on it and then I want to get a clear bra on it to do what I can to stop this. I think this one is going to be a keeper for the next 20 years as a play car so I want to do what I can to keep it in the best shape I can. If anyone could offer tips/advice I'd be forever grateful or if there's another post I've missed I welcome the redirect. Also if anyone is in the DC/VA/MD area and has anyone they can recommend either, i'm all ears. Thanks.

Try dr. colorship if it is limited to those area. If it is in whole bumper, then it needs respray for sure. Is your car Space gray? If yes I have a brand new kit from dr. colorship that I am selling. PM me for more details

Respray and clear bra. The paint will need to cure for a period prior to clear bra installation (don't let anyone tell you otherwise). This will solve the rock chip problem and protect your paint moving forward.

Dr. Colorchip will fix that up fine.
You can smear it over the entire area with a cloth, then wipe the solution and the paint will only stay in the chips. Here is a before and after on the nose panel of my old e36 a few years ago: |

it seems like you maybe quite ocd, if so that salt and pepper on the bumper must be killing you. I would say go to a good body shop and get that resprayed.
