Was there a time you almost lost your cool?
This was from a Subaru forum but I'll bring it over here anyways:
There are just these times, when man oh man, you really just want to end someone's life... the old cave man or woman instinct comes out. This was spawned by a recent post where a fellow enthusiast did the right thing and did not go ballistic but here is one time where I almost did: For me it was driving down Yonge from Lawerence south. Everybody knows how congested the road is already. So anyways, I was behind this lady on the left lane (right lane almost useless since there were parked cars ) and she was doing 40km/hr brakes hard at every small street. Trying to find a place I guess?? To make it worst she was talking on a cell phone while doing this...wtf?? So I honked her since I was not able to pass her on the right. She went ape shit and started going like 15km/hr and would brake once in awhile for no apparent reason just to annoy me. There was like a sea of cars behind me but she didn't care. Finally after 10 mins. she turned in at a small street and disappeared. I swear if it werent for my future mother-in-law sitting at the back seat, I would hv followed her all the way and jab a knife to her tires. |

I lose it often
Can't stand it when someone intentionally tries to stop me overtaking him I'll overtake on the right, left, emergency lane. Whatever it takes, as long as I see it's a safe maneuver. Nothing beats the look on their face when you do manage to overtake them I guess its better to let it out there and then, than to bottle it up and go postal later. But I've never had the desire to hurt/kill someone Not a fan of violence |

I'm a pretty passive guy, but driving over here in Korea has definitely developed my "road rage".
I was stuck on this single lane road, behind a dump truck. I was waiting for the road to get to a long straight to pass the truck, because obviously, you don't pass cars on a blind corner. This car behind me, an old Hyundai Grandeur (Azera in the US), decided not to wait and tried to pass us both on a very dangerous blind corner. He drove over to the oncoming lane during the turn. He was side-by-side with me mid-turn, and then he saw an oncoming car. The moment I saw that oncoming car, I slammed my brakes; I was lucky because the moment he saw that car, he tried to ram me to avoid a head-on collision. If he had rammed me, I would've definitely flown off the road. I caught up to him quickly, honking like crazy and flashing my lights. I think he knew that I wanted to beat his ass to a pulp because he kept trying to run. He did two more dangerous blind corner passing; after that I gave up. I really wanted to kill the guy, but I wasn't going to do anything stupid just to catch him. This was the first of many near catastrophic incidents I've had to put up with here. This was also the first incident that made me realize that having a well maintained car can save your life. |
