Parking Lamps??

I have this symbol on at all times, never knew what it was until I looked it up in the owner's manual. None of my other BMWs have had this on - so how do I turn it off?

What is the point of this and what does it change while driving - light wise?

it means your headlights are on, turn it all the way to the left for auto headlights or in the middle for off i think, i always keep mine set to auto

I always keep it on auto for all 3 of my bimmers, but this is the only one that shows that symbol...

Sorry, I should have quoted Studntloan's post because I was correcting his note saying that it was for your headlights.

I think when the headlamp control is in Auto, either the parking lamps/DRLs are on, or when its dark enough, all the lights are on. Therefore, the parking lamps are on all the time when it is in Auto, thus the symbol will be on all the time. I'm not sure this answers your question though because I'm not sure why your other BMWs did not do the same thing.

Not on my car. I have the DRL's activated so the angel eyes are on all the time. The parking lamps indicator only comes on when the automatic system turns on the full headlights. DRL on = no parking lamp indicator, Headlights on = parking lamp indicator. When I first got the car I found this unusual but I now simply ignore it.
