Hazing on XPEL clear bra

I have an XPEL clear bra installed last summer. Now after a winter of driving there is a haze on the bra that will not wash off. I've tried regular car 'shampoo' and Dawn dish detergent. It's still there. I rubbed a dry microfiber cloth on a very small spot quite hard and was able to get it off, but I'm afraid I'll ruin the bra (and it will take forever) to do the whole front end.

Any advice on how to safely remove it? Anyone else have this issue?

I've attached a pic showing the hazing.

Clay bar will do absolutely nothing for it. You should take it back to the installer and have them look at it. It should be under warranty if the film is hazing.

Update

So I tried to clay a small portion of the fender. it took of a bit, but still a lot remained.

I contacted XPEL and they recommended using Westley's Bleche-Wite (yes, the tire cleaner) to remove the hazing. I went out and bought a bottle and tried it on a very small spot and it worked great.

I'm a little hesitant to use it since it's some pretty strong stuff. but I may give it a try going slow and careful.

I'll post the results if/when I get the guts to try it.

I have Xpel all over my car, it's not drivin daily in the winter/summer and so far it's clear. Try these two web pages and products. I've not tried them yet but will order some and give it a go. Good luck

It should be warrantied by the original installer. I would not waste any more time trying to clear it up.

^ he's right, I have x-pel and it has a 4 year warrenty (at least in the UK), they should replace it for free. But even then, I would use something made for clear bra's such as those products I mentioned and keep it clean. Even plastic will fade if not taken care of. Good luck with it, let us know how it pans out.

i would just polish it like paint, but VERY lightly and at the LOWEST setting on the buffing machine. i have done this before, and as long as you dont go too fast, or put any pressure, the film will be fine, otherwise you could melt the film. however it came out great

Follow up

I finally had the time to Spring clean the car and take care of this issue.

Overally the XPEL suggestion to use the Westley's Bleche-Wite worked very well, although it was a bit nerve racking putting that caustic stuff on.

After a thorough post-Westley's wash I clayed the entire care, put on the XPEL bra 'sealant' and then waxed.

I'm pretty happy w/ the results. Note that the day was heavily overcast, that's why the pics kinda suck.
