Engine malfunction,
Got the dreaded message yesterday. Took her to the dealer as I have 3 weeks remaining on my CPO. they called and told me that mice have been eating away at some throttle actuator wires and I need to pay $600 to fix it! I was clearly disappointed at this time, figuring that the reason for the malfunction was the actual actuators. 3 hours later he calls and said "good news", you don't owe use anything and weverything are going to replace your throttle actuators! Tears of joy! I was pretty persistent initially when he said it was mice and my first response was, Imy not interested in paying $600 for us to find out after that it was the actuators from the get go! Happy ending to a long week!

Although I've seen mice chew through wires in the past... this sounds more like the dealer wanted to make a little extra cash while replacing your TAs.
