I think I explained the misunderstanding of our use of meth well enough. Pm me if you have any questions.
Why would you want me to "explain the definition of dependent" ?? I never used that term in my response.

Sorry you are upset when I am simply clarifying your inaccurate post.

You already answered your own concerns, yes you will face all of this. It's inevitable. Leave the car NA, as it was meant to be

That being said, and I hear ya. More people with concerns should look at a lower hp kit that will be much more safe. Not everyone needs 600whp. I do agree with you and think the kits that are in the 400's whp would certainly keep that NA feel a bit more and may make for a overall more enjoyable drive.

I know someone with an AA Kit that came with meth who actually didn't use the meth for 5000 miles. Drove the car quite hard, etc. Not a single problem just some power loss.

Exactly! The meth is there mostly for cooling purposes and to target a better afr of around 11.7:1. With the meth off it will hit around 12.0:1 thanks to the widebands. Minor power loss will follow when the Iat's rise back to a normal level as with all forced induction applications.

Meth has proven to be extremely safe in the N54 335 world when mixed and used properly. There are absolutely 0 cons to running meth the way we have the system setup.

hahaha bullshit wtf about all the meth fires Andrew? There were half a dozen in 2011/2012 just from what I remember and stopped keeping track when I ditched my meth system and then my 335 altogether. Most occurred at the track which is what finally got me to change platforms altogether.

Hey I loved meth on my 335 when it was working properly...which was maybe 75% of the time for me. Many people spent a long time trying to get it work properly and some just gave up completely on it.

Meth is a pain in the ass and not worth the hassle for a measly 10-15 HP on the S/C M3 platform. On the 335 where it's worth 60-100 HP...maybe it's worth the hassle.

Andrew said mixed... when mixed right water/meth is quite safe. A high meth or straight mix is pretty much playing with fire and from what i have see most n54 guy use the washer bottle for the meth tank pretty dumb idea as the auto ignition temperature is 878 f. meth is highly corrosive, low flash point make is a fire bomb in the engine bay. AA kit the tank in is the trunk safe from heat and they use a 49 meth / 51 water mix.

I also had meth in my last car (135i), was actually one of the reasons I switched cars.

Although my setup was in the trunk with a custom tank and braided lines, it's definitely more of a hassle than just filling your car up with fuel. Making sure its flowing correctly, having blocked nozzles after a while, even mixing the meth gets annoying pretty quickly.

Not saying a kit with meth is inferior, but I'd hate going through that hassle again if the power isn't much more

Mixed and used PROPERLY is the key word from Andrew. Sounds like the problems on the e9x M3s with meth are with the kits not coming from the supercharger manufacturer.

I drive my car 3000 miles a month and its really not a hassle at all to keep the meth tank full. I've probably had to fill the tank no more than 4 times in my 15000 miles of driving. One of those small easy to carry/store 3 gallon containers will last an average driver a year and they are very cheap. It takes a maximum of 5 minutes to pour a gallon of water into a 2 gallon gas can, top off the remaining gallon with meth and the pour it in the trunk. The tank location is fine and is always easy to pour. Never any spill, tricks, etc. Hardly have to ever do it. It's as easy as topping off oil lol. I'm sure everyone opens their trunk every now and then do just check the level. Too easy. You can't honestly say a properly functioning meth system is a pain in the ass and a hassle. Just doesn't make sense.

Have has 0 problems with my meth system so I can't relate to the issues mentioned.

Great question to ask OP.

As a soon to be SC owner myself, I was interested to hear feedback from current s/c m3 owners too.

Bummer your thread was hijacked.

Let's just get some Facts straight.

1. 49/50 ratio will not catch on fire.

2.The N54 135/335 uses meth as a fuel additive. Running huge nozzles like 800cc + are only used to raise the octane and take the place of maxed out injectors/fuel pump. If a n54 runs out of meth it runs out of fuel! This is a dependent system and very different from from what we are trying to achieve.

3. Meth is not used to make more HP. We are using meth to keep Iat's and afr's stable. If you look at our level 3 runs you will see all 3 runs are within 1 hp of each other. You cant get any more stable than that run to run.

4. Meth is only activated with 4 psi or more. With a small 450 nozzle the 1.7 gal tank stays full for quite a long time.

5. If you don't like meth that's fine. We have a 640 kit that should fit your need for speed as well.
