So I don't think there's any real evidence that one xpipe is better than the other. I know there's about 20-30 DynoDB entries that contain an xpipe. Once I make the SW changes, I'll report back on my findings.
HI PG,

yes its not in the DynoDB its on the sites of actual vendors who makes the x-pipe. the only company that didn't post their performance gains was Gintani until there customer decided to post their own results on Youtube.

but your suggestion is helpful.

just depends if its worth it to you. Some people "waste" 500-800 on an intake tube. But to some its not wasting, its what makes YOU happy and what your goal is. Power? sound? would it make you happier to have something new?

I hear great things about both, never had either. Know many happy gintani customers and happy rpi customers. Best of luck.

I have the RPi X Pipe. I really didn't feel the benefits of it til I got the tune. I don't really think you can go wrong either way. The dynos on RPi X Pipes prove the gains are superb, as do the Gintani X Pipe dynos. So it really comes down to which company your prefer. They're basically the same thing. X Pipes strategically located to help with the scavenging and no primary or secondary cats.

Gintani is full of liars... i will go 1 on 1 on a dyno jet with anyone with just the rear section of gintanis exhaust vs my rpi GTM axleback exhaust, i had both i have seen the gains on paper and the feel .... RPI FTW

no offense but that's a pointless comparison lol solely because everyone knows that axlebacks don't give you that much if any more power. To OP i would suggest going with the gintani xpipe as well because when you do a little research you come to realize having the whole setup from one company is much better than mixing and matching as others have said.

wow...well...let's see the dyno's..better yet...maybe someone can allow you to install their git axle back on your car and dyno it, just prior to or immediately after dyno your car with the rpi gtm...install for both doesn't take long and it would be a great comparison IMO

pick an independent dyno shop tho...

stick on topic and swap the xpipes instead...... It would be great to show the fanboys of m3 post how one xpipe doesn't make 10hp over another.

...... but we all know how dyno shootouts go.... a lot of shit talking and no event to back it up.

Agreed.

One thing to note, an X pipe is best to have the crossover as near to the exhaust manifold collectors as possible. It will produce the best results because the exhaust has had the least amount of time to lose thermal energy.

All of these X Pipes make about the same power.

Akra, RPi Gintani, Supersprint, Active......

Take 5 cars, put them on each car and test.

I GUARANTEE you it will be the same on average.

Rear exhausts hardly do anything.

We are really splitting hairs.

If you want to decide between companies do it on quality of the exhaust in which case Akrapovic and Supersprint wipe the floor with all the rest just looking at the welding quality.

Sound is the next determining factor.

For some it will be price.

If your buying CAT versions then the quality of the CAT also plays a large role to those that it matters to.

But power comparisons.......... please.
