Don't bother, unless you get a LOT of enjoyment in opening your hood and seeing lots of carbon fiber... it won't do much else for you.

The stock airbox/intake system is nearly perfectly designed and breathes VERY well. The only small improvement can be made with the filter, which for the price is a good investment.

+1
get an AA Filter for $75 bucks or whatever they cost and you'll see as much gains if not more then you would from spending $2500 + on the Gruppe M

Spotted a nice black E92 M3 today around 2:30pm leaving Pacific Mall. Only caught it from the back but it had an aftermarket exhaust, tinted tails, and what appeared to be 19" M5 reps running winter tires... plate was 'BYE 88' and I'm pretty sure the guy waved to me while he was waiting at the light. Nice car if the owner happens to be on M3post.

Hah, awesome! I thought it might be you for some reason, I've read your posts and know you are modded... and I did give you the thumbs up in response.

So are the M5 reps your winter setup? If so are they 19s?

My wife spotted Alfredoh and his M last night at the kids school. She said that she was going to say hi but you and your wife were still chatting to Ms. O at the time. I didn't make it as I stayed downtown last night, but perhaps I will see you again at the Christmas concert next week.

Jerez Black Xmas Present

Great forum, I didn't realize there was such an M community in the GTA.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for fellow M drivers. How incredible is that car!!! I test drove the S4 and my buddy has an RS4 but the M3 is just soo perfect.

Welcome to the forum. When did you get yours? We usually have a meet every month or so, plus track days and F1 breakfasts at Wegz, but in case it wasn't too obvious our meets are more social this time of year as half of the guys on the forum put their cars away for the winter.

But Welcome to m3Post, congratulations on picking up the M, now we just have to wait for this snow to clear and to hit the track

Or you could book the whole track and do this

Hi guys, Just wondering how the roads are in Toronto right now, and if you guys got any snow today? My c63 came in today and I want to pick it up tomorrow at thornhill mercedes. It will be on summer rubber so I crossing my fingers that the 401 will be clear.

thanks

The highways (QEW) are mostly wet right now. I would check the road conditions for the 401 on the weather network tomorrow before heading out, but I think your biggest issue might be icy roads and salt dings on a new car. I am sure with some conservativing driving that you could manage to get it back, it is the other idiots on the road that I would worry about though. The first snowfall is always the worst.

why dont you save yourself the trouble, and have the dealer arrange for a flatbed to your residence and then you can be at peace with everything

A couple of hundred dollars for a peace of mind on a 80,000 car is worth it.

Or just call CAA, and tell them your car broke down just outside the dealer when you pick it up, and then tow it back to your house, put a cover on it infact

+1. Summer tires + near freezing temps + rain or sleet + 451 bhp = not fun.

yea that would probably make more sense. But the only problem with that is I would like to see the car first before I sign anything. You never know with stealerships. I'm going to wake up early and see how the conditions are. If they are too bad I'm going to come up on Saturday instead
