Finally Got My Dream Car
Hi everyone, this is my "New" 2013 E92 M3 ZCP.
So long story short, I've been hunting for an E92 M3 for the past three years, during that time I've test driven just about everything under the sun from 911s to the AMG C 63 S, and refused to go out on weekend evenings. Just because I glowed green of envy from everyone else driving their cars. As the story goes, I found this specific E92 at a BMW stealership. At the time it was 4 years old (13'), 42000 mi., and pristine. They wouldn't sell it at my price and I told him this car will be on this lot or for sale until the day I own it. Afterwards, I've exhausted my choices, I put money down on the New M2 CS alllocation fearing I wouldnt find what I wanted. Eventually the gentleman I dealt with sold it to some young kid of whom trashed the bumper, underbelly, and wheels. Six months later and an additional 6000 mi, he then sold it to another location on the other side of town. Now two years have gone by, I randomly saw a red M3 for sale and went to look at it. Low and behold, it was the same damn car I tried to make a deal with at BMW. All trashed up, but in good working condition. So I beat the current dealer down and took the car home. The next day I took it back to the same BMW dealership to withdraw my deposit, they asked why. "Well... I got a new car. *Long Pause* The same salesman stood there, mouth gaping open. "Well, do you recognize it?" So we talked for a second and I asked " Remember what I told you two years ago?" He says "Kinda." So I reiterated the conversation. "Oh yea..." Then I leaned in and said "I told you so. Now give me my check." So there you have it. I've had this car for about a month now and during that time I've been restoring her. Meet Emory the M3. Things I've done since I've acquired her: - Deep wash and detailing on my own - Replaced aged badges - Replaced the ripped out front underbelly tray - Replaced the crushed center underbelly tray - Realigned front bumper due to the prior two incident listed - Sent all four wheels to be trued up - Stage 1 Paint Correction - 3 Layer Ceramic Pro Coating and Detailing + Wheels - Installed catless Macht Schnell X-Pipe and Eisenmann Race Exhaust - Got a winter set of wheels; 220m with Michelin Winter Tires Things to come: - Fuids - Tire TPMS possibly failing - Currently looking for an OEM GTS Lip - Varis lower skirt diffuser - Possibly a tune Last edited by LostPanda; 09-22-2017 at 12:04 PM.. |

It was a deposit for a Spot/Allocation to order, I was the first in the state a year ago. The M2 CS was just a back up plan. Im not sure how other states do it, but I just kept hounding the stealership.

Moral of the story, Don't F with the Panda. Can you throw a photo on there showing the side and rear, would like to see the CF trunk spoiler from a distance. Love the Melbourne Red with the CF. Definitely get a tune, it's very rewarding for the money. Good luck with Emory.

That is a gorgeous E92. Congrats!
Mind answering how you like the Eisenmann race with the catless x pipe? The Eisenmann race is my dream setup but never heard it in person with an X pipe. |

Heres some photos when I just got it. Bumper and everything beneath was out of alignment when the last owner ran over something and ripped out the underbelly and in turn crushed the center underbelly tray. Wheels had horrible run out at 70-80mph. Paint was worse in person than what photos could show, seem like it wasnt washed in over a year. Everything was caked on. As soon as I recognized her, she was mine. Just needed a bit of TLC.
Then here it is after I gave her a good wash. Last edited by LostPanda; 09-22-2017 at 10:49 AM.. |

Congrats on the purchase! I noticed you said the wheels had a vibration between 70-80 mph, did new wheel weights fix the issue or were your wheels bent? I am currently experiencing an issue similar.
