Hey guys , pretty sure there quite of few of you have the new iPhone 4 .. Well I want to make a thread and see if I can learn some new trick from you iPhone freak as well as I want to discuss all the JB talk and best tweak and feature after its JB etc etc ... Here is picture of my vapor 4 iPhone lol ..

By the way I upgrade my phone to 4.0.2 , anyone can teach me how to downgrade them ?

my brother knows how. he's on the update before 4.0.2 and hacked it to have facetime over 3g and have adobe flash and installous. really cool

look it up online or do research. and btw how much did your case cost? in addition if u decide to hack...theres this app, i think called facetalk...that replaces facetime. Its better because the phone uses 3g instead of wifi every time you want to "face time" someone. its more suitable because you wouldnt have to wander place to place to look for wifi

Man trust me I tired they don't work lol I search on YouTube google you name it ...
The case cost me 100 dollar from elementcase.com by far the most expensive case out for iPhone and u have to preorder them !!

nvm i dont think you can. i just got off the phone with him he says you cant but he knows theres a way but its just way too complicated. he said to search it on lifehack.com

If you upgraded to 4.0.2 you will not be able to downgrade. Apple only signs off on the lastest firmware now. People that are able to downgrade to older firmware already JB it previously and copied their SHSHs with Saurik's servers, or grabbed them manually on their PC. With that they are able to down grade to an older firmware.

The Dev Team already stated there will be no JB for 4.0.2. Once 4.1 hits, I would expect a JB to follow in its wake. For now you will just have to wait it out. http://blog.iphone-dev.org/

Some of the best JB apps and tweaks I like are being able to tether with either MyWI or PDAnet. Adding useful things to the lock screen such as calendars, weather, news, mail, or whatever you want really. Custom themes for icons, sounds, fonts, slide show wallpapers or animated wallpaper. Being able to download files with Safari. Unrestrict your 3G so apps that require wifi to function now will work when on 3G, such as face time or sling box. And SBSsettings is very useful as well. Even uncapping the 12 icon limit for folders so you can put as many things as you want in them. And many others. Try reading the Modmyi forums, or rock your phone if you care to see more of whats out there.

Wow great thanks I guess I'm an idiot for upgrading the firmware , hopefully 4.1 will come out sooner then I hope

Not a big deal, you didn't know. Just a learning exp. 4.0.2 didn't update anything but the pdf exploit that was used to JB. Next time there is an update just check the Dev Team blog before you update anything. And if it's confusing at all you can usually read the comments and find most of the common questions answered.

anyone else notice that.. when the iphone 4 first came out the price was around $215 after tax and now that they find out that there's a reception issue the price is $250 after tax... they tax the original price of $500 instead of just taxing the $200...

might sound confusing but it looks like theyre making us pay for all the free cases they have to give out....

i bought 2 iphones, one right when it came out and another one just recently.

In order to downgrade you need to have the .IPSW of the older firmware you want and then put your phone in DFU mode and restore the .IPSW I mentioned that you downloaded and it should downgrade the firmware.

Nice case OP. I want one too but can never fork out that kind of cash for one. I'm using the free bumper for my iphone 4.

How would increasing the taxes which goes to the government pay for your free cases? And the increase would be due to the government not Apple....

Being he has never JB his device before and has had no access to Cydia, and probably did not grab them manually. I do not think he will have all he needs to do this...

As far as I know, when you sign up for the 2 year deal with any phone, you still have to pay tax on the original price of the phone, so if the price of the phone is 500, you'd pay $200 (2 year contract price) plus the tax based off $500. At least that's how they always did it in CA. Maybe tax percentage went up in NV? I dunno
