What EASY audio upgrades can I do for my 2008 M3 with STANDARD audio?

I have a 2008 M3 with the STANDARD audio system, I don't care about money, I just want to do some upgrades to the standard audio system because I think it absolutely sucks, but I want easy upgrades I could do myself or something a local installer could do without me having to worry. Any ideas?

- bit one.1 processor
- 2 Arc Mini 125.4 just because you don't care about money, they should sound great based on their specs (better specs than the PDX), and they are very small for their Class H power
- 2 sets of either Morel Hybrid Ovation or Focal 100KP, just because -again- money is no object, they fit and they should sound much better than my Individual Audio OEM speakers, which sound really great indeed.
- 2 SWS-8 in 2 ohms just because they fit in the OEM enlosures, and they sound great
- OEM trunk left trim for CD Changer if you do not have it already - the Arc Minis should fit in there:

- forum member VP Electricity 10" trunk sub enclosure, to reduce the sub work of the SWS-8:

You should be able to install and tune all that in your trunk by yourself in one day and be 98% stealth -only the trunk sub will be visible.

That was the main reason, however the "absolutely sucks" part also contributed greatly to the "all out" recommendation.

Going only with the BSW upgrade and nothing else will simply turn the "absolutely sucks" into just "sucks", IMO. It will improve some, but not in the degree that I'm inferring from the OP post.

What exactly is included in the BSW Stage 1 kit? Their website isn't very descriptive...

Just the front/rear sets of 4" components replacements. The OEM woofers and the OEM amp remain the same.

Technic's recommendations are great but there is one problem. You said you wanted something you could DIY or just send to a shop and not worry. So which one is it? Do you want to do it yourself or have someone do it for you. If you're doing it yourself I don't see an issues because you'll have the knowledge available from the others who have done it here before. If you decide to have a shop do it for you, I'd worry. Factory integration is not always simple for shops because unless they've worked with the same type of car before, the little details may not be as trivial to them as they are to someone who is familiar with the factory system. I see many things that could easily be done wrong if you're not familiar with the car. So if you do go that route, make sure they are familiar with the M3 or at least work on a few late model 3-series cars before.

That kit does not apply to HiFi systems (the OP system in the USA), only for Stereo systems (outside the USA).
