You can't even see a dent in that picture.... It's horrible quality. I would discuss with your body shop. I don't know that you will get the help you are looking for here.

You haven't even disclosed how it happen!???? If it's a stationary accident, you should file a comprehensive ins claim. If it's a traffic accident then have the other party pay your repair (assuming you're not at fault)

You are right to be concerned. It is a very bad dent, but the advantage to getting hit in the quarter is the easy access from inside the trunk to hammer it out. That said make sure you take it to a shop that is going to spend more time metal finishing it and less time slapping bondo on it and it should be okay. If they use too much filler it's going to be easy to spot. Good luck. |

Just thought of another issue you may have to deal with. This part of the quarter is extremely creased. There is a tendency when straightening metal back into shape for the metal to crack because its losses its structurally integrity. In that case they would weld leaving a seam which would have to be ground down carefully to not show. You would deal with the same issue when welding in a new quarter as well so this a tough one. |

Will your ins replace that quarter panel with OEM tho? Or since that shop agreed to absorb the difference be getting OEM without telling your ins??

yes he said oem also he mention the shop has a very sophisticated welding machine the he guarantee the work. on the insurance he said to leave it up to him he would call the insurance and explain the car needs a new panel and charge them enough to cover deductible.
