Stock OEM 18 vs optional 19's wheel weights.

I'm leaning towards 18's since I like the dark wheel and usually 17-18's are optimal size for good handing and feel.

My questions is what are the stock wheels weights? 18's are cast and the 19's are forged correct?

This topic has been covered numerous times in the WHEELS section of this forum....

That being said, its been proven there is no significant weight difference between the two wheels...

Early on it seemed that most assumed that the 18s were lighter and some were in fact choosing the 18s for that reason. Now that it has been determined that the 19s are in fact slightly lighter (weights with tires on both), the difference (4.3 lbs total) is seen as insignificant.

Originally it was assumed that the 18's were in fact lighter than the 19's by about 4lbs or more per corner. It was assumed that a total weight savings of 16lbs unsprung weight could be had. Thats huge... equivalent to something like 80-100lbs of sprung weight.... but oh well...
