OP No Offense but just leave it like that, its not a big deal. Many people with misaligned hood and fender. Both my e92 335i and e93 m3 come like that

We pay AUD200K for a fully loaded M3 here (around USD214K) so misalignment or not, I wouldn't complain too much.

I left the dealership with the car COMPLETELY normal. After a few hours of driving. It became like this.

I really want to convince myself this is normal. It's really difficult for me to think the fenders or the hood just went " OFF ". If they adjust it back. My stock paint and screws will show sign that it is adjusted and it will kill my resale value. This M3 is in Taiwan. E90 M3 is super rare here. I really care about this matter since I bought this 2 days ago. Does this mean I have to go back and readjust every couple miles to the car?

Something probably just shifted due to body flex while driving. Take it to the dealer and have them adjust it, it's no big deal and it isn't going to kill your resale. Just make sure it's documented.

Mine looked perfect... I would be worried, i dont know how everyone is saying it ok.

Mine definitely looks like some of those pics. It doesn't bother me too much but I'd probably be pissed it I paid as much as you did for the car.

Its the kind of thing that only the owner may notice. Like orange peel, most people wont look for it unless they know about it. No one has ever realised the misalignment in my front bumper or rear bumper. I only pointed it out to one friend (a member on here as well, Davin), so he's the only person who knows the flaws of my car. Its really not that much of a big deal... its easy to forget about because its an easy fix. the hardest part about it for me is remembering to get it fixed lol

The texture of an orange rind...if you look at your paint at the right angle...you can see a similar texture.

So uh... just curious... what exactly is stopping you from say... talking to one of us, purchasing a car in the states through us AND having it shipped to down under for well under 100k?

Nah, not true. Modern cars still have stress and strain on the different panels. True, they're more rigid than in the past but the stress and strain are still there and if a panel wasn't snugged down properly it could certainly shift slightly when the car is driven. Cars are still essentially a bunch of parts bolted together and no matter how hard we try the people and machines that assemble them are still not perfect.

+1 this has happened to me before. not specifically the hood, but other stuff. like bringing the car in for service, and leaving with damage to the bumper.

Expecting perfection from a product that involves human design, fabrication, assembly, transport, delivery, and service is the definition of insanity.

The amount of money paid for a product has no direct correlation with the quality of that product. It is merely a reflection of what the market is willing to pay for it. The buyers perception and valuation of quality is only a contributing factor among many.
