BMW went for mass public. There are M badged cars everywhere now, all series all kinds, not saying it's bad but for me the M era is over

Yes. BMW is going to a stupid direction just like MB. MB puts an AMG logo on any crappy MB that has a body kit or wheels set up.

BMW should stick the ///M badge to real M like: 1M, M3, M4, M5, M6, X5M, X6M.

And not naming a model M235. It they want something great, then they should bring an exclusive M2.

Excellent point - I've been focussing exclusively on fact it is last of naturally-aspirated M cars - but also is for all BMW's (which obviously make it even more special)!

Currently drive an M3 convertible manual which is coming off lease soon. Feel like I got to drive something very special for a while--especially since it is a manual.

I want to replace it with the same car (maybe DCT this time), but this is going to make it a bit difficult! On that note, if anyone has one with about 10-18 months left please let me know!
