Cracked screen - On board monitor - HELP!

Hi, i have searched and searched for this but cannot see find much detail.

So in a fit of rage, my watch accidently hit the screen and now the screen is cracked, a la iphone screen!

I have a 2010 e92 m3 and the relevant part number that i have been quoted is 65829224346.

In australia, BMW want to charge ~$4000, the getbmwparts website is approximately $1700.

I've been trolling around on ebay, and find tons of screens with a different part number but not my part number saying they will fit. The number that i can find is 65829151979.

When i search this number on the getbmwparts site, it refers to the 6 series unit, so im not sure if this will actually fit.

They look identical, except the 65829151979 has a plastic cover in front of the screen where as mine doesnt.

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the two units and will the other one fit?
