Rd Sport Springs Causing Shaking?

Hey Guys!

I have a 2009 M3 i have just put RD sport springs on the car and running 305/25/20 on the back and on the front they are 255/30/20 I have had all the rims road forced about five times coming up with reding right about 20-21 all the way around. THe wheels are round as can be and are hubcentric. They are Klasse wheels. The weird thing is it vibrates from 65 and on. But the catch is it only does it on some roads..... Have you all seen or had anything like this?

The tires are PS2 Michellens and I am running stock shocks.

Some of the guys say this is normal?

Any help would be great its drving me crazy!

Thanks

Neil

your vibration sounds like actually from the wheels. Did you balance you wheels before put them on?

I doubt springs would cause that sort of problem, it could be tire is not good, alignment or craked wheel in the center, etc...

I really doubt that the springs are causing the vibration. A lot of people run them, myself included, with no issues.

Did you inspect the tires for any bubbles or irregularties?

you cannot expect the car to give you a 100% shimmy free ride on all sorts of tarmac- If that is what you are looking for, Lexus makes a nice car called the LS- buy one of those and never feel the road again.

That is the way its going to be! Best way to minimize it is by getting rid of those 20s-

Suspension is not your culprit.

Concur here, your (OP) findings are too specific for spring issues.

Now here is something that occured to me on my CL65 only at certain speeds with my HRE's and the reverse drop centers. When it rained, a large amount of water would puddle up on the inside lip of the wheel even at speed (centrifugal force). This would make the wheel out of balance and I would get distortion; sometimes very heavy at higher speeds.

I'm running same set up 20x11 with 305 tires and 20x9.5 with 265 and no vibration sitting on rd springs. I think it should be a balance issue or wheels probably has a small crack some were. good luck!!
