e92 M3 Purchase from dealer - Tri-State area.

On the hunt for a ZCP e92 and I came across this posting. Contacted the dealer and he said he was pretty sure the car isnt a ZCP cause it doesnt have 20' wheels I contacted BMW of Westchester and they ran the VIN and told me this car does have the competition package.

How would I be sure of this?
Hows the pricing on this car look to you guys?
How can I tell between the two different versions of ZCP wheels?

Need all the help I can get with this purchase as my last purchase was really impulsive and everything that could go wrong with that car did. Any tips or links to some mint looking cars in the tristate area would be appreciated. Trying to keep it under 39k.

Thanks!

Well first ZCP wheels are only 19", but I decoded the VIN # for you and it does have competition package. If those wheels are 20", then they are aftermarket...hard to tell from the pics. You can see for yourself at https://www.bmwvin.com/. Car looks to be priced fair. Interior fox red looks awesome...that's what I have. I would check the maintenance history on the car. BMW can read the key fob and give you all the maintenance they have logged.

Does the competition package always come with the CF roof? Thanks!

This dealer is a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealer, so I wouldn't put much stock into what they say about this car, at least in terms of packaging/options. Look no further than their wheel comment, and the fact they have the interior listed as Bamboo when it's Fox Red (though impressive they used an official BMW interior color name).

Those are the 19" ZCP wheels, there is only 1 'version' of ZCP wheel.

The competition package and CF roof are unrelated in terms of packaging. The CF roof is standard equipment on the E92 only, with a moonroof being an optional zero cost option when ordering.

Looks like a nice spec, I didn't decode it but it looks loaded - extended leather, EDC, Nav, Enhanced Sound, Sunshades, cold weather package, ZCP, etc.

It wasn't me

These cars have dropped in value enough that a lot of people are looking to purchase them, and the good ones go quickly. A manual with fox red is usually right at the top of the list, among other things this car had.

You gotta be ready to move fast, IMO. I did that with both my current BMW's, and there was quickly a line behind me if I opted to back out.
