As far as there being no road courses in Florida.. really? Homestead, Sebring, PBIR, Daytona. http://www.hookedondriving.com/hooke...region/Florida http://chinmotorsports.com/events/calendar2012.asp Get some race fluid and pads and have a blast. You'll never develop a love and respect for the car trying to make it what it is not. An E93 M3 is no drag racer.

Do what I am doing/have done. Going to muffler shop next Friday to install remaining parts. I had them cut out the secondary cats, and installed Magnaflow mufflers in the rear. Next friday, swapping out the OEM x pipe with a magnaflow one and replacing the resonators with something a bit more friendly. Also getting my springs and pulley put on. There will be nothing left of the OEM exhaust. In about a month, deleting the primary cats. Cost for all this work? Less than 1000 bucks, same stuff as the overpriced xpipes.
Cheers.

+1 on the OEM exhaust mod. Stupid cheap, but it's something you'll experience everytime you drive the car. Stock exhaust almost "ruins" the car, it's way too quiet

I was thinking about doing alot of mods but after looking at the power results from bolt-ons I'm just gonna save the time and money and just put an electronic exhaust cutout system on it for purely the sound. I've researched on it and people say it sounds a lot like a Ferrari with the loud small displacement v8 when opened up.

The problem is you can bolt on only 15-20% horsepower short of a supercharger and you have a heavy convertible that weighs 10% more than a sedan or coupe and you need the majority of any non forced induction gain just to get you to the level of a regular M3.
The M3 is already weak on torque. Saddling it with all the extra weight of the convertible makes it even weaker. Even the centrifugal supercharger, the only forced induction option for these cars, adds relatively little torque, so you still have to run the car to redline to make big power. I'd look at a new twin turbo M6 convertible or the performance versions of the Camaro and Mustang convertibles that also have about 550 lbs torque. Torque is what you want for satisfaction when you have a 4000 lb car. |

K I've decided. I'm either going to do the OEM exhaust mod or get cutouts. Rest is staying stock. Waste of money to me. I'd rather spend supercharger+exhaust money on a '67 camaro.
