1955 Mercury Wall Art Complete Front Bumper, 2 Hub Caps, a Original Framed Advertisement

For sale is a complete un-restored 1955 Mercury Monterey front bumper with blinkers and mounting brackets, 2 original un-restored hub caps, and 1955 framed magazine advertisement.

I fabricated a mounting bracket for the wall that utilizes the original bumper brackets, leaving the bumper unmodified! The wall mount bracket connects to the bumper via the original factory bolt holes in the bumper brackets. This means that the bumper could be unbolted from the wall and reconnected with a car without modification!

The wall mounting bracket and original bumper mounts have been powder coated black. The bumper is original, un-restored and showing its age. On the driver's side of the bumper, there is a dent on the corner of the bumper and the blinker lens is partially broken out. The passenger side of the bumper is dent free and the blink lens is in tack. The bumper shows signs of wear, including thinning of chrome, some rust and lots of scratches.

The two original un-restored hub caps are in very good shape, with one having better red paint than the other.

The 1955 advertisement is from a large format magazine, like Life Magazine or the Saturday Evening Post. It is two pages from the same magazine, aligned and framed with a double mat of antique/off white over black, with a black wood, inch plus frame.

Together these pieces make a great wall grouping! I utilized these on a wall over a credenza near a conference table in my office. This is a unique piece that breaks the ice, allowing guests to focus and discuss on something unrelated to the business at hand and quickly get comfortable in your office.

Let's face it, when was the last time you visited someone with a 1955 Mercury bumper on the wall?! With matching hubcaps and detailed, period correct, original advertising?! You just don't see this kind of art in most offices! And when/if you do, its reproduction, not original.
