Need help on remove/replace Vorsteiner bumper stop thing on bootlid
I just recently purchased a used Vorsteiner 1sided bootlid. I moved everything over except the 2 bump stop thingys for the boot lid. It's attached to the stock lid and looks like it is held in by plastic rivets but can't figure out how to take them out. I twisted the rubber knobs off and the threads are exposed. I'm thinking these cushion the trunk from slamming downwards or for body aligning or something I think I read somewhere to just order that part instead of trying to take it off. Anyone know the part number and how much it would cost?

What I did was drilling out the rivets and double-side taped the bump stops on the Vorsteiner trunk lid.
PN should be 51 71 7 162 385 but double check on bmwfans.info and buy from your dealer or getbmwparts.com |
