I have ordered the autocarbon steering wheel for my e70 x5. I plan to install the steering wheel without the cover. I agree with some. The design of the steering wheel isn't for everyone but it's nice and the twill weave is aggressive.
I'll some pictures by the end of next week.

Please take out the horn cove. Just my opinion.

You should get rid of the black hood on the x5 and make the roof black . This was my X5 before I replaced it for my M3
