Ohlins rear spring rubber seat going out of place?
Recently put on a set of Ohlins, front is great, but the rubber seat for the rear springs kept on going out of place....some part of it will get pushed out and the upper spring holder is making contact with the car's body.
Does anyone else have this issue? Any heavy duty/more molded replacement for the one that came with the Ohlins?

Yep mine too are torn up… I believe it's only purpose is to prevent the perch from chewing up the anti weather chassis insulation, if it was too substantial it would make the rear end feel vague and spongy? Just recenter them if you can remember every time you unload the spring.

I'm having the crazy idea of CNC/cutting a custom rubber piece not only to go on top of the perch like the stock Ohlins, but also to wrap around it. Attached a really bad MS Paint illustration of this crazy/dumb idea... 1 is the original Ohlins rubber seat, this is simply not much height sticking out on top of the spring perch for the rubber seat to hold onto. 2 is what I'm thinking about, let the thickness of the rubber seat remain mostly the same on top, where the perch and chassis makes contact, so it wouldn't make it vague and spongy(can also add a tiny bit of thickness and use a harder rubber for durability) then have the rubber go around hugging the lower part of the spring perch(should be very minimal impact on handling since this part is not making hard contact with vehicle body) so it will 'lock' into place

FYI I talked to my shop about this and they suggest using a thrust bearing
I am having the R&T kit installed next month and will report back on how that goes.

Similar to the Swift thrust sheets that 3DM recommends. I have a pair and my R&T kit is silent.
