Personally the fact that there is no clutch in the Benz rules it out for me.
If I didn't care about driving a manual with three pedals the Benz would probably be my choice.
Having said that, the Benz is heavy, and I agree on the interior, it has a bit of a rice look to it inside.

Rumor has it that M-B is working on a DCT, as well, which would make it a more direct competitor to the M3. I like the looks of it. It's likely to be a bit more expensive than the M3.

In my view the new Benz is going to be more expensive and have performance that is at the most equal but most likely inferior to the M3's in most conditions. I dont think the new Benz will be worth the extra thousands. At least in the US. Not sure what the price comparison is in other countries.

Nobody can help you because you specify no criteria for making your decision besides money, and we don't even know the prices of either car. EDIT: well, American prices, but you're not American, and I don't think Euro C63 pricing has been released. Could be wrong there.

Who cares what random internet people think about random criteria anyway? I might like DCT, you might want an automatic.

Seriously, this is a useless thread as it stands now.

The C Class Interior is Less Sporty and is Cheap Looking and Cheap Feeling IMO. There is NO Coupe version. The 4 Door M3 looks better than the C63 from virtually every angle.

There is no issue here, again IMO, the only reason that some M3 buyers (including me at one early point) think about the C63 and the RS4 is because it makes sense to.

But, for me, which ever way I cut it - the M3 is the car at this price level, with this much power and with 'bang on' technology with one of the best V8s in production (bar F1 engines) for the road.

There is nothing else, all the others are pretenders. Some good but none great - IMO. I will certainly NOT be thinking or wasting any time on the new Lexus cause I know what the outcome will be already.

Past wisdom says the Benz will be second to the M. However, I think they've changed their tune. BMW is in their cross hairs. AMG has their own plant now. They will have a DCT and the suspension/handling is going to be much closer to the M than you think. For me personally, I need a sedan. So the C63 is looking pretty good.

Not sure if you only said that as a response to those who were saying the sedan body style was a disadvantage. But if not, in case you somehow missed it, there will an E90 M3 released at the same time as the E92 M3.

I'm aware of that. I didn't think it looked all that good compared to the coupe. Very plain. I remember back in the day I thought the M3 sedan looked way better than the coupe. But that's me. The Benz looks pretty agressiv.

I'm in the same boat, but between the C63 and S5. I agree the C63 interior (stock) is poor at best. However, if money is, as you say, not an issue I would put a lot of thought into the C63 with an interior upgrade. Brabus has shown one off which looks astounding (no where near the low quality of the stock interior). The S5 is my first choice, but the C63 with the Brabus interior has significantly swayed me from my determination for the S5 (just as the S5 swayed me from the 335i). MB has de-tuned this 6.3L quite significantly from it standard 500+hp state. I think this car will have a LOT of after-market potential.

I hope the OP isn't really gonna base his decision on the opinions of a message board. Nothing against the fine members here, but come on.

Drove an e63 AMG Friday. Just not as sporting or entertaining as an M5. Expect the C63 to compare similarly to the M3. Verdict: M power!

Now, you stating that this is the upgraded C63 is plainly WRONG.

This is the Brabus Bullit Supercar, which is the C-Class platform, yes,
but it costs:

348,000 EUROS in Germany!

Come on, that's hardly a competitor for the M3. Why don't you post Carrera GT, SLR, or Pagani pictures next time? (*jk)

Best regards,

CSL
