I hate pinstripes with a passion. My current vehicle is a 95 E36 M3 and the PO had painted pinstripes on it. I actually paid a detailer to buff them off. The car has its lines already, and with the M3 it has beautiful lines. Why would you want to defile it with cheap looking pinstripes? Of course that's just my opinion.

Hey it is your taste not anyone else here who is bashing you for it! If you happy with the pinstripes then that's all that matters, you paid the $60000 for the car not any other member here so do as you pleased. I like them by the way.

In general, I dig pin stripes. There is local guy, "Sid" who is pretty famous around here. He usually writes "SID DID IT" in small letters above the gas door. I had my '91 M5 pin striped. It was black and I did the M colors.

It's tough to tell in your pics, but it does seem oddly placed. Perhaps take some better photos (up close and full view) and maybe you'll change some of the mind of some of the haters

I am not feeling it either. Like others said don't worry about what we think. In the end it is your car and your choice.

I don't care for it, but I don't think it looks horrible either. Pinstriping is just typically thought of as an outdated trend. As for contrast, I personally love the contrast of my carbon fiber parts with my space gray !!

Yuck. Extra surprised the OP is young because pin-striping is definitely something the older crowd would be into more.

THIS..the car already has strong body lines and trim..pin stripe just creates a "busy" look that doesn't belong

There are alot of cars where pin stripe looks good..think of old American muscle cars.

Looks ok, but it should have been on the crease line, not somewhere between the crease and the bottom of the windows.

First car in this thread needs a custom vinyl top. Get that and maybe they thrown in a polyester jump suit for free.

Don't forget to buy the OEM coat hanger so you have a safe place for your Members Only jacket.

A stripe like this one actually looks pretty nice (though I wouldn't do it)

I'm sorry but the one on your car sort of reminds me of this

It's your car though and you do as you wish with it, as long as you don't go into damaging it with mods it's all cool

You're best bet is just not to ask what others think. Just do your thing....

Everything is stupid unless everyone else is doing it.
