There will def be threads about members waiting till the end and not getting one just look at when the e90M went out. We were getting members hitting us up but it was to late all the slots were filled

The wait sucks when you order don't get me wrong but if you look at the benefits you get at the end, its piece of cake

That's the advantage of being DIVORCED...

You can get what you want.

She didn't like it when I had ONE car, now I have three (3.)

But, we are still close, and she loves my Yellow M3.

It's like those who bought an E46 M3 at the end of its cycle, most regretted their decision when the E92 M3 came out .
Unless of course you dont mind or can afford trading cars every year or so.
The last in line six M3 didnt turn out to be as special as some had thought...
Because some of us would rather have a high-revving, NA V8 that's the last of the M3 coupes than whatever is in the first M4 coupe. As has been said many times, get what you trully appreciate or love; nothing less.

I don't want to be that guy at the end of the E92. But I also want to order a 2013, not a 2012. Any advice as to when to order to maximize my chances? There are 5 dealers in my metro area (DC).

TIA.

The best advice that I can get you is get in now and don't wait. Just let whoever you order from know you want to get a 2013 so when the order banks are open they will lock you in. Thats all I can say. there is no way of you or anyone knowing when the allocations will dry up from BMW and more importantly from your local dealers.

Feel free to shoot Ryan an email if you need any assistance.

I have a manual, and to be honest---after having driven the Dual Clutch equipped car, I want my next car to have a dual clutch gearbox. It is WICKED.

Nothing wrong with manuals of course, as I still love them. That being said, dual clutch transmissions are definitely the way forward...if you haven't driven them, you should try it out.

It's all great and fun until you have to replace clutch packs. A manual would be much easier to maintain long term. I guess it depends on your time frame of ownership.

If you are planning on ordering I would highly suggest you get on it quick bc Im sure my13 allocations will fill up fast as well then you will be stuck with hoping to find one on a lot somewhere.
That's really cool actually. : )

You don't have to be divorced to have your way ... I am retired and do it my way all the time
