Yea that's not that bad considering her location. In SF a typical 800 sq. ft. apt./condo runs about 2300+ in the SOMA district.

Beautiful view! For comparison, my mortgage is also $1900, 3200sf, 1.2 acre lot. With a nice view of the lake across the street.

Housing in Texas was even cheaper. That's the price of city life and a great location though.

Congrats on your new place!

Haven't been able to bring it for an estimate. I guess I'm not in a rush to fix it since it isn't all too bad.

Cool views. Love the floor-to-ceiling windows, but the place looks small. Enjoy yourself there!

Wow, $2.71/sq ft. per month. Love visiting Boston, but $$ to stay.

For Boston that is good. Not to mention in a great area. Only other areas I could see being as good or better would be Newbury Street or Cambridge area. But then again I asumme those areas would be a couple grand easily.

The reason I ended up here is because it is the only place in Boston that allows small dogs. I love the view, the building, the concierge, and the location is nice but I know I could have gotten something more convenient for the same price or less if it had not been for the dog. When I come back from Tokyo next year I will be here in Boston for another year and I will try to find a place for rent by owner that allows dogs. It was just hard for me living in Florida to find a place that was pet friendly since the for rent by owner places I couldn't really look at and they are much harder to find. It was a lot easier for me to just find a community that was renting.

Wow, jaw-dropping views! Awesome!

Where in CT did you say? I grew up in Fairfield County, in Wilton.

You know, most women wouldn't have moved without a ring...you must be awesome, or your boyfriend is...well...appointed.
