6 point harness help

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a schroth 6 point harness

I will have a roll bar installed very soon into my car. The roll bar has a harness bar.

My question is how do most of you mount your lap and crotch belts? I know the some shops offer brackets that sandwich in-between the seat and floor w eye bolts in them to easily attach the lower 4 belts.

Or drill into the floor for mounting point.
Etc etc

Any info on your sets up w be greatly appreciated.

Thanks track guys!!

Are you using the stock seats or installing Race Shells?

Macht Schnell offers harness mounting plates as well as a submarine bracket for the sub belts, I have a full setup (including harness bar) going into my M3 in the next couple of days.

Perfect - this will be exactly what you are looking for.

Feel free to stop by if you would like to see the setup in person, or wait for it to appear on the journal soon.

I'm surprised there are still 5-point harnesses out there, most events no longer allow them. There's some pretty nasty images out there on Google that can be found with a quick search I would prefer not to link to.

If this is purely for HPDE events, rules are a bit more relaxed.

Sandwiching is better than splitting it in half.

So MS sells the anti-sub mount separately??? Or it comes with the floor mounts?

Its available separately, while it's designed to be used with the MS floor rails - it may fit other brands as well.

Here's a CAD drawing of the components to better illustrate what I'm referring to.

Pictured are the following:

- Macht Schnell Liteweight Floor Mounts
- Macht Schnell Harness Receptacles (Clip-on Style)
- Macht Schnell Submarine Bracket
- Macht Schnell Adapter/Side Mount for Pole Position (Steel or Aluminum)

Alignment shims are also available for fine tuning the seating position for best steering wheel/seat alignment.

Hope this helps.

With the previous Floor Mounts, yes. The newer Floor Mounts/Harness/Belt Recepticles are moving to the bottom-mount design as the same bracket can now be used with the bottom-mount Recaro seats like the Sportster CS line.
