First time tracking my new M3

Hi,
I have been lurking for a long time. Got my 2012 E92 M3 on Aug. 4th, and took it to Thundehill raceway (California) on Aug. 11. The car was broken in during the Euro. delivery trip.

I am a beginner with several track days in my 2006 350Z. This is the first time that I took M3 to the track. (went to Nurburgring during Euro delivery, but I did not push the car. The ring was scary! Fast cars are flying by).

Here is the video for the best lap, please let me know if you see anything that I need to improve for the lines, I think I had issues with turn 10, 11, 12, 13

http://youtu.be/ThXyL4Gq5g0

Thanks
Francis

Congrats on your new ride. I have never driven Thunderhill, so do not know the track or the line, however, in viewing your vid you appeared to be running the line and seemed smooth. Not sure about the two areas where you were clearly off the track, but that may be the prefered line.
Good luck with your car, and enjoy all the HPDEs that you will no doubt be attending.

+1 If anything looks like you could carry more speed through much of the track, but line looked good.... I think....Welcome to the party

For the two areas that I went off track (still on pavement), I did it because I saw some faster cars did that too . I will attend the two-day BMWCCA HPDE at Thunderhill in Nov, hopefully get some good instructions.

That was the first day with the M3 on the track, still trying to find the limits of the car. I will get faster after more seat time on track
I found out the best setting for me is power button off for better throttle control, EDC set to sport, DCT set to S4...
