Atlanta Shop to work on s/c m3

Can anyone recommend a good shop in ATL that you can trust to work on a s/c m3. I would prefer not to go to the dealer. Need basic maintenance. Any insight is much appreciated.

They are good, I used them a lot when I was living in Atlanta area.
Not cheap, but the work is done properly.

They just quoted my $200 for an oil change. Is that a good price or can I get it cheaper some where else?

Oil (Castrol TWS 10W-60) is about $13/qt * 9 quarts
Filter (11 42 7 837 997) is about $20

~$140 for the materials before shipping. Tischer has the kit for $160 shipped.

Is $40-60 for labor reasonable for an oil change? If it were me, I'd spend the 45 minutes and do it myself.

It is going to take more than 45 minutes. I did my oil change, it is time consuming, but it can be done. Just make sure you take your time, there is a DIY for this that you can follow. Let me know if you need any help on this.

I think Niv meant 45 mins of actual work. We changed the oil on my M last month at his house. We opened the drain plugs and took out the filter. Let it drain for an hour or so while we grabbed some Subway and came back. Button everything back up, put new filter on and poured new oil in... total time about 2 hours but only 45 mins of actual labor.

Much easier than my old beater with bottom mounted filter.

You're right Eric - it does take about 2 hours total if you take your time and let everything drain out, clean up, and everything. For the average person who doesn't want to get their hands dirty, $40-60 for the labor may be perfectly reasonable. For gearheads like us, it might be worth it to do it ourselves, possibly because we don't trust other people with our cars.

For a first-timer, it will take more than 45 minutes. The oil filter gaskets are a bit tricky the first time. And, of course, getting the car up in the air safely is very time-consuming without a lift.

On a side note, I installed a Fumoto valve on my N54 to make it much simpler and cleaner. I am not sure if they make one compatible with the S65 drain plugs that face downward or if there's enough room down there such that it doesn't protrude (it would be bad if you hit it on a speed bump, for example).

2 other shops you may look into are Technica Motorsports off of Howell Mill and Harrison Motorsports in Alpharetta, both are track shops and I've had work done at both. Excellent either one.
