Vortech V3 blower leaking
Anyone else's blower had a leak? I just open the hood and saw there's a bit of oil on it
It's just under 2 years old ess kit (not that it has anything to do with the blower on it) about 35,000kms |

If the leak is coming from the breather then that is normal.

+1. Mine does this and the oil level is perfect. Vortechs do this. My first one 20 years ago (the old V1 rock grinder) did this as well.

mine started leaking from the join between the 2 halfs.... unfortunately the unit has a failed internal seal, wheneva it would see boost it would spit its guts out.... luckily mine was covered under the ess warranty and they overnighted me a new unit FOC.
The unit was damaged during a pulley change by my ess approved installer. ive heavily tracked my car and to be honest i can see some "wetness" around the breather but its never sprayed under the hood etc....

My guess is the breather as well. Its possible you popped a seal but with a vented blower I am not sure how easy it is for that to happen. The next obvious possibility would be that the dip stick is loose or has come loose allowing some fluid to seep.
SC setups on our cars also cause blow by so be sure what your seeing is not engine oil. I found a film of engine oil in and around my blower as well as in my intake the last time I opened up my system.

Just throwing it out there just in case. Did you replace the shipping plug with the breather?

you should look into capping the intake and running a catch can/breather setup to eliminate/reduce the blowby |

In the end, a catch can might be the quickest/easiest solution.
