Engine Damage possible?

Guys,
just wondering how hard it is to blow/damage the engine. i bring this up because i got stuck on some ice outside my house and i tried the reverse/first gear method multiple times to get out. i was probably on the gas at most 5 seconds each time but honestly wasn't checking the redline/rpms. i'm positive i would've known if i blew the engine, which i didn't since it started up fine the next day. however, i haven't driven around since monday due to the weather. just curious what kind of damage i could've done if i happened to reach redline or stayed over it for a few seconds.

thanks in advance.

You can't hurt this motor by being stuck in the snow. It can take 8400 all day
