Anyone with Dinan 365/345 experience?
Hello,
Has anyone had experience with Dinan 365/345 kit? They are made by Brembo and accept the same pad as Brembo 365/345 kit but have provisions for Brake Sensors. They also come with Ferodo pads. Any input is apreciated. Thanks |

I personally don't see the reason to pay more for the same part with a Dinan logo. BTW, the Ferodo pads are stock with the Brembo brakes.

Dinan Brakes can still use OEM Brake wear sensor and they have a 4yr/50,000mi warranty compared to 1yr on the Brembos. So technically there is some value in it. I realize that the brake sensore are useless for track junkies.
How are they? |

I've had many friends run Brembos on their M3s, and they're pretty good for the money.
Per what someone said above, I don't see the point in paying extra money for the "DINAN" logo... |

I just put the brembo 365/345 kit on my car about 2 weeks ago. They feel great on the street. Much better than stock but not thousands of dollars better. On the track it is a totally different story. I went to laguna seca on Monday. On the track they absolutely amazing until the supplied pads overheat. Even then stopping is solid, controllable and predictable, it's just that the pads make funny noises. Also they did wear pretty well for street pads. I believe brakes are the single best upgrade for this car. Next time out I will definitely have race pads. Also do yourself a favor and talk to Richard@m-world about a set. Dinan is overpriced even with the warranty. If these brakes work out of the box they will continue to do so for many years.

OP depending how close you are with your authorized Dinan dealer you will not be paying the extra amount people are mentioning. I have the 380 at all 4 and when I bought the kits I saved a good chunk of money (can remember actual amount), but I got at least 10% off the cost. In addition they threw in the custom color that I wanted at no additional charge.
The nice is as some folks tend to disagree is the warranty because of the extra cost. I had not had to pay for a single pad replacement since owing them nor do i have to pay to flush the fluid. Granted it was only one pad change, but I have had the brakes for over 2 years on the car. Yes you are getting the same brembo product, which is exceptional in performance and build. Whichever route you go you are still getting a top of the line performance product, which are far superior to the stock components on the car. If you do want to go the Dinan route with modifying the rest of the vehicle then maybe doing this would make sense if you want the logo. I don't think you need to have the logo on the caliper and can opt for something else. Turn around was also incredibly good. Good luck with your decision. |
