Damn BMW and the airbag malfunction. It would be nice to just put in some Recaros, but for the safety of my passengers I would never disable the passenger airbag. |

One thing you can do that I did in my e46 M3 is just unhook the springs on the bottom of the seat. That gave me about 3/4" more headroom. It does stretch the leather a little bit.
On each of my 4 s2000s, I had one of the Backyard Special seat lowering brackets, which was awesome, but going the way of the dodo, with all the sensors and crap on newer seats. |

Let me know if you can see this picture. I took it specifically for you. Unfortunately Porsche, but BMW should be similar.

Thx Tomasz, but i'm not really sure what I'm looking at, or for. I looked under the M3 seat & it appeared quite a bit different than the one in your photo (at least to my untrained eye)

...drove some twisties today with my helmet on and I can say that I REALLY need another 1/2" of headroom. I tried slouching in my seat, moving my seat back, but neither option was very helpful. Someone PLEASE come up with a solution!
Are aftermarket seats a viable option? I know, I know...I'll do a |

Foam - we can cut the foam in half. Then properly reapply the leather. Its an option. I Still rather lower the seat. Also, steamer... how is that going?
