So i just drop my car by 1/2 inch and then tell the moon roof haters to STFU? ff topic:

Taking that further, I have ZCP. So how far behind the civic M3 am i?

Would there be a measureable difference at the track if the same pro driver tried both? My guess is yes but it would be slight. I like it because it's unique and because I like the idea of the placebo effect and have convinced myself that I'm faster because of it
If you are looking to get around a track fast 18s vs 19s will gain you more than a CF roof.

Thanks for the insight guys. Main reason I'm asking is because I was originally going to order a 2012 with comp pkg, but I found a fully loaded 2010 at a great price but it has a sunroof. I just want to figure out how much performance I'd be losing with the 2010 with sunroof versus a 2012 w/ comp pkg and CF roof.

That's a great point. I knew damn well when I opted for the 19" wheels (220M) that I was NOT enhancing the speed of my car. 18s definitely have an advantage.

This guy has posted multiple threads about how the CF roof compares to the car with the sunroof. I'm pretty sure he's crazy.

Seriously. I've been part of design teams for production cars and worked with center of gravity, and weight specifically. The difference is so small, you would never notice any difference, even if you were a pro driver.

Oh, I won't deny that I'm crazy. I'm extremely OCD when it comes to cars and I'm just trying to make the most informed decision that I can for this purchase. I was all set to pull the trigger on the car until I started reading posts / threads from people stating that going with the sunroof would cause degraded performance.

So you're telling me there IS a difference then, lol. I'm 70/30 on getting the 2010, I might end up waiting forever looking for a 2011 to come down the pipeline spec'd the way I want.
