BMW UK has released a video teaser for the new limited BMW M3 M Performance Edition coupe models that it will offer for the UK market. Each M3 M Performance Edition model will feature an unique Frozen (matte) paint color - Frozen Blue, Frozen Red, and Frozen White. Just ten units of each color will be produced, for a total of only 30 cars.

BMW recently launched the M Performance Parts catalog for the F20 1 series, F30 3 series, and F10 5 series, but has yet to announce its offerings for any M models. This teaser tells us to expect M Performance parts for M models as well, at least for the M3 and the F10 M5 (see the M5 M Performance Edition model teaser). From the teaser, you can see M Performance carbon fiber splitters and trunk spoiler, as well as black kidney grilles and side gills trim, but the offerings will hopefully also include upgrades for suspension, brakes, and more exterior and interior dress-up parts. Full details to come.

No ordering details for the M3 M Performance Edition models yet, but we'll share those as it is announced. We are also hoping that some M3 M Performance Edition models will be offered in the North American market.

BMW has gotten so used to sticking an M on everything that they forgot that the M3 already is an M.

My bet is that they will only be equipped with the current M Performance offerings (i.e. splitters, spoiler, grills, ...maybe exhaust) ...unfortunately I can't see BMW developing additional accessories on an outgoing model.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I wonder what non-Frozen BMW colors these shades derive from? For example, is that red based upon Melbourne or something else?

M3 story with all its special editions is getting a bit too long...and boring. M performance is just weird. M- is already M.

Please end the frozen nonsense. Special editions are ceasing to be so "special".

BMW is really changing the meaning of the word "special edition".

They should call it "M squared 3." It is just plain silly. Give us a cheaper GTS in the USA and call it whatever you want. Give us a 4.4L, and make it in techno violet only.
