Talking Eisenmann Race with Challenge Sport X-Pipe - Holy Shit! - Video content inside>>

So I have been trying a few different combinations of exhausts but never changed section 1 till today. Slapped on the Challenge X-Pipe with the Eisenmann Race

Sounds insane Took a few quick iphone videos. The sound is not as raspy in person, it is just the iphone mic giving up

The second video is closest to what mine sounds like, although I have almost literally 0 rasp on mine.

It's very addicting, and I'm surprised there's not that many people with this setup.

The rasp is more exaggerated in the video. What setup were you running?

ACM test pipes, secondary cats deleted (straight piped... for $50 ) on the OEM xpipe, but left the OEM resonators in place.

There's really almost 0 rasp. Just that deep baritone V8 sound under 4-5k, then the thing just screams all the way past 8k RPM. The crazy thing is that from the inside, I find it perfectly civil enough to drive the car cross country. Have done multiple 10 hours + trips in it with no issues at all.

I told you it would sound ludicrous!! Same setup as mine only I have a challenge x-pipe with 2 custom resonators added. It's intoxicating.

I've been watching youtube videos for weeks now trying to figure out which setup to go with, coming from a car that droned so bad you would get a headache from driving to long, drone is my #1 concern.

I feel a bit more relieved now reading your statement..

One step closer to taking the plunge on this exact setup the OP has.. Now what to do about Cali smog tests.. lol

I'm selling my custom challenge X-pipe that was used with OPs exhaust (formerly mine)....it has 2 added resonators which further helps with the drone, which is really not that bad. PM me if you're interested.

I don't know if it'll help you or not, but this is almost exactly what my car sounds like. As you can hear, no rasp. This was the actual video that sold me on Eisenmann Race:

If drone is your concern, I recommend going quad resonators, or at least have secondary cats + resonators. For me, drone wasn't quite as high up my priority list as you.

Well I'm coming from a 550hp 2012 Camaro with a loud mouth II exhaust, which is almost like having straight pipes.. Driving on the highway around 70-75 was where the drone was the worst (about 1600-1700 RPM's).. This car is different and I'm rarely that low on the RPM band.. So was curious how the drone is at higher RPM band in this car cruising at 70-80.. Don't imagine it could be quite as bad lol..

No, not even as bad as that. For a couple of weeks, I had straight pipes on the M3 and that definitely droned haha.

If you are going constant RPM at 70-80, it's no problem. The few times you might hear very very slight drone is if you are in lower RPM, going up kind of a steep hill. Like I said, I'd have no problem jumping in my car and going cross country.

This exhaust setup just sounds so good. Not obnoxious like some full race setups that some members are running. I've had nothing but compliments with this setup.

Haha I didn't realize either of the above quotes, nor do I understand the drone difference either!
