In transit!
Just called the 800 number and my car is on a boat! Is it sad that my morning ritual goes: wake up, get kids ready for school, get wife and kids out the door, call BMW 800 number, then get ready for work?

I don't have an ETA. I'm not even sure which boat my car is on. If it is on a WW ship then it might be on the Fedora that is scheduled to sail today. My CA is out of town till Tuesday and my VIN doesn't show up in the WW database yet so I am lacking details.

Righto - In the same boat in that apparently I was a week 37 build... but I still am yet to see a VIN. Strange... Won't find out until Monday at the earliest!

My CA gave me my VIN while the car was still in production. I tend to email him about twice a week to see if I can get any better info than the 800 number has.
Here is a recap of my journey so far (all dates are based on information from the 800 number): Order placed- Aug 14th Entered production- Sept 7th Headed for port of exit- Sept 12th At port awaiting ship- Sept 15th In transit- Sept 18th Now I figure another two weeks to cross the pond and another week or two to go through the prep center and get to my dealer. |

My 2010 e90 M3 was a week 38 build, it's done but last I heard it is still in Germany. Can't wait for it to get here, but then I will need to part with my 05 M3 coupe with less than 24k miles.

It sounds like your car is about a week or so behind mine. Maybe you will get lucky and catch a ship that doesn't stop at too many ports while en route to the US.
