Front reflectors *opinions* needed for Mineral White
Hey guys .... Getting my new Mineral White M e93 mid october. Originally had Alpine white on order but when bmw changed the package names and what was standard on them, the dealer left EDC option off not realizing it was a stand alone option (unbelievable )
Anyway, dealer found a *mineral white* car equipped exactly the way I want it and has made a dealer swap for me. I have yet to see a mineral white M in the flesh (hope I don't regret swapping from alpine white order). So the opinions I want from you guys is about the orange front reflectors I want to swap out (I live in california) ... Go with oem painted mineral white or with clear reflectors (which may blend in like mineral white) ?!? What do you guys think is nicer???????? Of course if anyone has an image they can post with either version, that would be amazing! Actually any good pics of mineral white would be welcome (the few posted so far are not great). Thanks so much gang JB Last edited by jbm3; 09-26-2010 at 05:53 PM.. Reason: Type o |

Leave it OEM. Alpine White is beautiful and classic. No way I'd swap sight unseen.

Clear ones always looks cheap to me. I say leave it OEM or go with the OEM painted ones from IND.

i don't think you will regret the swap for mineral white. metallic white colors always look great. for front reflectors I would go with painted to match the body color.

Metallic colors usually do look good but they are a bear when it comes time to touch up stone chips. They never match up.

You can trust IND to pull through with a perfect pair. I've had mine (AW) for a year and no signs of discoloration and fitting is perfect.

I want to know why the US m3's have those ugly reflectors ruining the look of the front end. Guessing it is some stupid legislation.

Thanks for the kind words guys! We have already painted a few sets of Mineral white. Good color for sure.
Yep US DOT regulations for the US Spec M to have them.

bimmian.com is the cheapest for reflectors from what I've seen. Currently $60 shipped.
I think white in general is difficult to paint match. If you look at pics of white cars, the reflectors are always very noticeable IMO. |

Bimmian is one of THE worst vendors i've ever dealt with. Do a search on them on E46Fanatics or M3Forum, they are fukin junk and the sh1t they sell is junk too.

Get them from IND. Those guys are great over there. I'm sure Nate will get back with you soon, once he sees your post. The paint match has been perfect on both my cars and hundreds of other ones they have done

I have the clear ones and like them. The painted ones look odd to me as they are there and look really out of place once painted....
