I was not the driver in the video. That particular run was a friend of Roman's. When I watched the video myself for the first time -- my jaw dropped when I realized the guy motored around the entire course in 3rd gear -- that's nearly identical to a regular 6MT in 4th gear. So just imagine the guy motoring around the entire course in 4th gear -- and getting a 2:09 lap time. He used the immense torque of the stroker to power his way around the course.

My car went onto the track 6 times that day -- with 4 different drivers. My best time was 2:20.46. Sam's best time was 2:23.99.
-To be specific, the car wasn't just on PS2s...it was on over-inflated heat-cycled PS2s. Grip was certainly lacking, however the balance of the car was great. I chose to keep the car in 3rd gear most of the time because any more power to the rear wheels would simply spin them. Even in 3rd and as low as 3000rpm I had to be careful with the throttle or the rear end could step out. Which, as it turned out, was very controllable, hehehe. If it had been wearing NT-01s you could probably knock a good 10 seconds off the lap times, maybe more. Overall the car was AWESOME! I'm still jealous of the throttle response!

Robert, you were very generous and trusting to let us drive your baby. Thanks again!

That might be true, my apologies for jumping to the conclusion. I'm almost sure that any three of you guys would clock a better driving time than me. Just shows how important tires are especially with that much power!!

Nevertheless, thanks for posting and fantastic write-up!

Thank you ESS for bringing out their sick cars. I finally got a chance to see them in action with my own eyes! Great products! Now I want a VT2 kit for myself
