Had a chance to do some 60-130 Vbox, "Performance Box" pulls to see how my modded M3 stacks up against others At the same time I did some pulls with my buddies stock C63, got him pretty good, approx. 5 CLth's.

That same day he had went and had his ECU tuned, lol, but he made 60whp! I might be in trouble now! We will do a rematch soon to measure his gains. 60-130 times are a very popular method with Porsche enthusiasts for measuring a cars straight line performance, besides 1/4 mile runs. My VFE Supercharged E46 M3 did it in 8.6.

http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...standings.html

I managed a 10.87 with the E92, makes sense based on the many comparo runs I've done. I think I can do better though, as it's been very hot here in socal, with a muffler, some weight reduction, and maybe a more aggressive tune, low 10's could be doable. One thing to note in the graph is the shifts are almost undetectable, virtually no momentum loss with the DCT Tranny.

Mods are in my Sig, I made 363whp on a Mustang.

Here's a list of other cars 60-130 times.

The funny thing is my buddy is borrowing mine, lol, he's had it forever, and I borrowed the Vbox I have now from another friend. I'm going to try and get mine back ASAP! This is good news, thanks Robert, I'm anxious to see what the stroker does!!

Same thing!

I shifted twice, started at around 30mph and went WOT from there. My run was approved by Divexxtreme on 6speed, otherwise I wouldnt' have posted it here. You are allowed up to a 3.0% decline.

Totally Agree!! If people want to send them to me I can verify or have them verified if they'd like, I barely made it, mine was 2.97%, lol.

PG - I have the Racelogic, "Performance Box" I believe the unit you are interested in will capture 60-130 runs!

Very good results - interesting the effect of DCT during gear change, especially on the 2nd to 3rd gear shift...you get a momentary spike of 0.674g from this. This surely must contribute partially to DCT's superior performance over MT.

I'm guessing from your graph you were making about 0.5g at your shift point from 2nd to 3rd gear, at around 68mph....this equates to real world power output of ~339WHP assuming your car weighed 3740lbs....

Interestingly I estimate that similar mods to yours would result in ~ 10% more power and ~ 15% more torque than stock (i.e. 456HP/332lbft). Running M3 DCT Coupe with +10% power and +15% peak torque through CarTest simulator and a -2.97% road grade, I get a 60-130mph time of 10.90s (shift time set at 0.03 seconds)

Keep up with the excellent information - I keenly watch all of your comparos on YouTube...

How much does the Vbox run? I would definitely be interested in picking one up.

Yeah 3% is huge - according to CarTest, based upon my simulated run resulting in 10.9s on a -2.97% grade, the result on a 0% grade road would be 12.09 seconds...

Divide the height difference by the distance travelled and multiple by 100 to get %...

I noted this test was done at an average of 398ft altitude, CarTest spat out 11.07s compared to the 10.90s I calcuated...
