RED 2010 M3 wanted for Photoshoot
Hey Guys
First post on here because I am looking for a red 2010 M3 to pose alongside my 1970 BMW 2002Ti, in a studio shoot. If you don't know about the 2002Ti, get out your history books) Studio is downtown Toronto used for hight end car photography. So it has the proper gigantic softbox lighting. No financial remuneration, but you will have some nice prints of your car. Red should be as close as possible to the red of my car, which is called Granada, and stock, not modified. The original rims and hubcaps will be on the Ti for the photos. Please respond via this thread, and include a pic of your car. Thanks for looking. |

Would a red 2008 M3 work for ya?
Melbourne Red M3s are fairly rare as I've only seen 3 or 4 others in the city over the past year plus so have a feeling you won't have much luck tracking down a red 2010... but of course you never know.

Why did you choose a M3 to do a side by side shot? It would be excellent if you could find a BMW 320 as well as a newer model year. The 320 was the real successor of the 2002Ti. The 2002tii was the high performance model and in my opinion more like the M3 of today and that would be the pairing I would put together. If you are looking to depart from your Ti let me know, it would be a great car to have back in my garage. Good luck with the shoot, |

Thanks, I think they look amazing as well. The wheels are the Alufelgen SF-71s in gunmetal... ordered them direct from Alufelgen as part of their pre-production group buy.

Nope, stock springs as of now but that is likely changing in the next month or so.

The rims are 15X7 Rota RB's, replacing the original 13X5's........oh you meant the other car.
To answer a few questions. Thanks for the offer of the red 4 door, but I should have mentioned I am looking for a two-door. and I am specifically looking for a red 2010 for the 40 year span from a 1970, and the red is self-explanatory, I think. And the reason I am choosing a 1970 2002 over a 320, say is that is what I have to offer, and the 2002 is the car that saved BMW and arguably started the whole performance sedan thing, not the 320. And the 2002Ti was the performance model, before the tii came along. Plus the Ti is very rare,, as it was never imported to the USA, only Canada, and in very limited numbers at that. Evidently there are less that 20 in all of North America. Ti's came from the factory with twin sidedraught Solex 40mm. carbs, and 5-speed close-ratio transmission and LSD were options. So if you have a red 2-door 2010 M3, or know someone who does, please let me know. Thanks |

E92 Melbourne Red
I would be happy to let you use my Red M3 Coupe for a photo shoot. Mine has the stock 19" wheels and is Red with a Tan interior. It is a 2008 but there are no differences between 08 and 10. I am fanatic about my car so it is in pristine condition. I live in Pickering so downtown is no problem for me.
I will have to send you a picture when I get home from LA on the weekend as they are on my home PC. Feel free to email me at anorrie@shoplogix.com or call my cell 416 407 0100 (but note I am LA and have a noon flight today).

Hey that's great ALM3 I wasn't sure if 2010's were the same as 2008's. Sometimes there are subtle differences that someone would notice. But if they're identical, that's great.
I'll contact you on the weekend, and then we will have to coordinate a time which is good for us, the photographer and the studio. |

Hey Mike
If for some reason thing don't work out for Al to do it, I'll definitely be in touch. By the way, what colour is your interior? Thanks for responding. |

2 2002's
Hi again
The ti has about 230,000 km on it. It's an original Toronto car, and one of about 50 that were imported into Canada in 1969-1971. The ti was the first high performance version of the New Classe Cars, and they were never imported into the US because of emission laws, even back then. All ti's had twin sidedraft solex carbs and boosted the horsepower from 100 to 120 over the regular 02's. tii's came after, and had 130 HP. There is reportedly only about 20 survivors left in North America, and maybe 50 worldwide. Hans Stuck won the 1970 Nurburgring 24 Hour in one of these. Mine has about 230,000 km., and still runs great. I know 120 HP doesn't sound like a lot to you 400HP guys, but this car only weighs about 2100 lbs. Here's a couple of pics from last fall, with the 76 I sold when i found the 1970. |
