Tint in Virginia, which do you have?

wanted to get tint; specifically because of the heat!

as you know va tint law is 50 fronts and 35 in rear.

should i go legal or no tint at all?

i had 35 all around on my other car and would get pulled over all the damn time.

I had 5% on my back window...20 on my sides + our cars come like 6% tint from the factory

I had to re-tint my m5 b/c the previous owner had really dark tint - not legal.

About 2-3 weeks ago, i got pulled over by a State Trooper on I-95 for having dark tint. Of all things, he pulled me over for dark tint...when they were other cars speeding on I-95. I guess my IB m5 is a a real attention gainer. He gave me a ticket, but i'm taking it to court b/c i had just bought the car, it was just delivered from AZ, and had just registered it at the DMV. I'm a single man, and work, so i can only do so much at a time. Pain in the butt...

Anyways, so now i have state legal, and had Matt from TNT Tint redo my car. He does excellent work and did my m3 as well.

I think having your car tinted is a good thing, especially if you have black interior leather. I could be wrong, but in my humble opinion, car tint will help increase the life of your interior leather from sun exposure, etc.

i have 50% all the way around F1 tint from LA TINT. looks really dark at night. During the day, its like semi dark.

I have 35% all around with Pinnacle Formula 1 tint from La Tint in Sterling. Looks dark enough, but not so dark as to attract too much attention from the State Troopers. Still illegal....the tint laws are retarded.

i just got mine done at LA Tint in Sterling as well....35% all around. Just waiting on the medical waiver for sunshading to make the front legal.

I'm just going to my eye doctor (optometrist) to get it done either tonight or tomorrow. They said they would do it if you have sensitivity to light (like sunlight induced migraines).

I went to LA Tint in Woodbridge and they did my front windshield for me with no waiver, you just have to pay them in cash for the windshield. I think they charged me $100 to do that. Their work is good but not as good as some of the other LA Tint's in the area.

I think you misunderstood. All tint shops will tint anything for you to any percentage you want.....The waiver is for you to avoid getting tickets for having the tint on your windows if you are pulled over. Your registration gets a special designation that permits you to have tint up to a certain percentage.

Oh my bad I did misunderstand what you were saying. I thought you wanted the waiver to get the tint since the LA Tint in Alexandria would not tint my front windshield unless I had the waiver.

Good luck on getting the waiver. If for some reason you can't get it I suggest you get 50% on the windshield, I have had it on my car since Oct and have not been stopped yet *knock on wood*. It really just looks like a glare on the windshield.

I've got extremely dark tint all the way around...i forgot the percentage...but it was a shade or two from limo...got it done in Germany though..so I may be looking to get it redone out in VA

Go to LA Tint on Rt 1 in Alexandria VA..they will give 10% off the bat. Do good work. No problems with mine going on 2 yrs now F1 Pinnacle!
