I would agree that the rear certainly takes alot from AM in design, but the front is unmistakable BMW

I have to say that I don't think it looks anything like the AM. No more than the Z4 and the Solstice. Sure same style of car but all the body lines, lighting, grill, glass, bumpers, etc are all different.
The only things I do not like about it are the tail lights and I think the rear end should be about an inch wider on each side and run a redick 12" wide rear wheel! Other than that -- Genius

In response to what the OP offered, and without regard to whether it looks like an Aston Martin, it's a hot looking car. As a "proposed" six series design, it's the best looking six design in a while.

I think the current 6 is butt ugly, particularly for a car costing $90K or whatever big sum they do cost.
