Spacing on Hood

Greetings Members

I just picked up my E92 last week and noticed a gap between the hood and the top of the grill front which seems to cause the hood to shake and lift slightly when the car gets north of 85MPH.

Could I get some feedback on the images. It seems its not the standard gap distance from what I have seen on other E92 M3's online and in person. I Have opened and closed the hood a couple of times thinking it was not closed all the way.

I wonder also since this car was CPO when I purchased if this would be covered.

It's not alligned correctly, could be just the rubber stop's that need to be adjusted underneath the hood.
Do me a favour, open the hood and take picture's of the hood bracket's and of the fender screws.

There is nothing wrong with your vehicle. The lock's on the hood are not in the middle like a regular vehicle. You have two locks on each side on the front. open your hood and closed gently with both hands on each side instead of the middle. The middle lock is secondary incase the primary fail.

Mine was high on the passenger side as well and I initially thought it was the rubber bump stop too. Ultimately it turned out to be the latch behind the bumper on the passenger side was a little loose. I had to take the bumper off to get to the screws. You could see an outline on the supporting bracket where the screws were originally. This may or may not be the case here...

Adjust the two rubber bumpstops in the front so that they go lower (esp driver's left one) and the hood sits lower and catches both latches. That should do the trick.
