Ceramic Window Tints - NEED HELP!

I'm scheduled to have my tints done tomorrow but the guy says he does not carry ceramic. He uses the brand LLumar but he is known as a professional installer. Should I wait to get Ceramic? Will there be issues with the comfort access and radar detectors. What about the Nav? Can anyone recommend any other tint places in the Miami Area?

THanks!

my comfort access and cell phone reception work perfectly every time with non-ceramic but high quality tint @ 15% all around except windshield

honestly I don't think it really matters in any significant way

I was just researching this today, and my tint shop told me about llumar ATX. Its not ceramic, but its selling point is that it does not interfere with electronics.

Maybe your guy can order it.

I have LLumar tint on my car. Looks great. I've had it on all my vehicles and have been happy with it. I've never tried any other tints as this is the one my tint guy always uses.

works fine, honestly I dont think the type of tint matters unless you buy some budget $40 tint job.

I just got 20% Llumar tint last week and have seen a drop off in my CA. Its hard to make it pick up when I'm trying to unlock or lock the car using my hand.

I have 5% llumar. The tint quality is excellent. The reception is ruined the radio suffers 100% the ca suffers 100%. Phone service is deteriorated. Everything else works fine. My tint guy only uses that stuff but if I tint the next car I will be sure not to get anything NON ceramic with all the gizmos and gadgets these cars have today.

ATX and Suntek carbon are the only way to go. No Ceramic.

Just got Llumar CTX installed on my car. It is a ceramic tint and was just released a month ago, newest film on the market. It has really high heat reduction and doesnt mess with your signals at all. Other tint to go with is FormulaOne tint. Ceramic is the way to go. Its the best film on the market, it is color stable, has high reduction like metallic films, and best of all it was designed to not interfere with signals.

I just got my windows tinted last week. I usually care about brand. This time however I was referred to the tint shop. The shop told me they don't use a particular brand since they buy their film directly from the manufactures in Korea. They charged me $100 for all my windows on my E92. For that price I didn't really care of the brand as long as it was good quality and clear. Which it is.

I got the windows tinted 1 shade lighter than limo, around 10-12% I'm guessing. However I haven't had any issues with cell phone reception, radio, or c.a.

BaLLzZz, what issues are you having with c.a. and radio reception?

Lol. Something just clicked. I guess I am experiencing light reception issues. Cell phone, navigation, and radio seem to be fine.

Don't now about radar detector. Plan on installing mine this weekend.

However the day after I got my tint, I thought it was weird how the passenger side door was not unlocking by touch when I was over by the driver side unlocking my door. I could have sworn it was unlocking by touch when I first got the car, but I couldn't remember for sure since I had the windows tinted like 3 days after I got it. The driver door unlocks and locks just fine, and the passenger door unlocks and locks just fine when I'm standing next to it. So I guess I have a slight loss in reception since the passenger door will not unlock by touch unless I stand close by.
