Yeah I got my DCT the first week 2012's came out. Is there a newest update?

Yes, highly annoying, however, you don't need to buy another buckle for the driver's recepticle. Just put the passenger's side buckle in the driver's side and you can do your maneuvering in the garage or whatever.

the 135 DCT is different than the M3 one AFAIK

same gearbox but software is totally different. Much less agressive and refined on the 135 if you have every driven one with the dct, it actually feels like a different tranny. So although its a pretty cheap option on the 135, its not nearly as good and it shows you software is a total key for these complex machines.

oh I didn't know that.. but either way this conversation doesn't apply to the guy with the 135 I don't think

I just had some work done at the dealer that required a full software update. Soup to nuts. I picked the car up after this thread was started.

I do not have the seat belt issue. Car goes into gear regardless.

So it seels the latest version is fixed.
