What's the definitive answer here as to why these TWO stroker cars from two different companies are making lackluster performance?
Aleks what is your take on this? I went through a lot of your data and scrutinized it (great job logging everything!) From what I can tell is that these stroked and bored motors could possibly benefit from a better tune, especially the Dinan car as both the Dinan and RD car are running rich with conservative ignition timing. Are they limiting the timing to possibly protect the motor because of how much thinner they made the cylinder bores? For what it's worth my M3 made 404 RWHP with the MRF Velaforza and custom NA tune with no other mods. Looking forward to your thoughts.

The Dinan stroker gained 6% more horsepower and 15% more torque. Torque gain is exactly where it should be, but horsepower isn't. That could be the tuning. The RD stroker gained 15% more horsepower and 30% more torque. The horsepower gain is exactly where it should be, and the torque is clearly the superstar here. It will be exciting to see what both of these cars can do on a rematch after they both get re-tuned with the latest software. |

NA power is expensive. I'll take FI -- twice the gain for half the price. It is great that a twinscrew kit and a twin turbo kit are in development to offer alternatives to the several centrifugal kits that have been out for a while and are now well proven.

I'm calculating a 2.6% increase in HP and a 16% torque increase for the RD. The Dinan lost hp <1%, and only gained about 9% torque. In this comparison, at least. Assuming you're talking peak numbers. |

Amazing! Love threads like this. I really would have loved to have been there to see these two in action. I can't wait to see the film if you release it, it would be great to see them in a video.
Alekshop, amazing attention to detail in comparing these three |
