I thought I would chime in on this even though it's a older post for future reference, we are a small mom and pop shop that make fire extinguisher brackets for select sports cars. We have an option for the 3 Series BMW 2007-13 models, may fit newer cars but we have not had one to test.
It's machined out of aluminum and anodized black. Fits on either driver or passenger side and does not interfere with the seat movement.

I've tried getting the following seat-mount parts from getbmwparts.com but they're telling the parts aren't available in the US:

Anyone know of a way to get the mount in the US?

I was able move my mount from the right passenger side seat and fit mount on it on my drivers side seat.

Click the realoem link in post 16 to find the right part # you need according to your seat type. Also, I used my own 2.5lb Halon extinguisher vs. the BMW one.

Just an update our BMW bracket also fits 2014-15 M3 and M4 and 3&4 series.

I have part number: 52100408186 ...BRAND NEW, NEVER INSTALLED, and I'm now trying to sell it. Let me know if you're interested. Going to post this up in the for sale forums soon.

It's the black part behind the red fire extinguisher mount (which is from an aftermarket fire extinguisher).
