I also noticed this problem. I also noticed that when the engine is warming up sometime the audio goes out because something suddenly draw too much electricity?

I only used mine once and it did skip.

I always use my IPOD, so I'm not even worried about it.

Use the USB port! USB sticks are so cheap.

With the smartphone integration option, the iPod is obsolete. The iPhone does it all...phone, applications, and music...all charging nicely in the cradle under the center armrest.

What's an iPod?

I want an 8-track player...I've got hundreds of 8-track tapes sitting in a box.

The iPhone is for ladies. Real men carry printed phone lists and use this:

And real men don't listen to other people's music. They whistle their own.

Can I load music files on a USB drive and play them in the USB slot? I normally carry two iPods in the car because one always ends up crashing. Be nice to have a few $20 USB backups.

And the response is overwhelming. Silence.

I figured it out.

I remember those phones. Man I thought they were so cool when they first came out. It was like the first radar detectors....huge boxes that sat on the dash. Have times changed.

Never had the unit skip on me and our roads suck big time. Maybe its the blanks you're using or the burner itself. Did you try using an original CD to see if the problem goes away?

As a possibility, the cd changer has a screw on the back side that you set for either vertical or horizontal placement. There is a possibility it's set incorrectly, and that would cause skipping. I had that problem on my E46 M3 and the technician had forgotten to turn the screw to the correct orientation. Of course to check means taking the left trunk panel off and probably removing the cd changer to check. I wonder if a small mirror could fit to the back of the changer to check.

BTW I have the changer on my E92 M3 Coupe and it does not skip. I do only have bought cd's in it, with no burned cd's.
